How it started
In 2023, our co-founders were working as consultants at a large hospital chain in Mumbai. They saw first-hand how smaller independent clinics struggled — paper registers, missed appointments, no-shows, zero online presence — while patients expected the same digital experience they got from e-commerce and banking.
The existing software options were either too expensive (built for large hospitals), too complex (requiring a dedicated IT team), or simply not built for the Indian market (no UPI, no Hindi, no WhatsApp).
So they built Chikitshalaya. The name means "place of healing" in Sanskrit — and that's exactly what we want every clinic using our platform to be: a place where healing happens efficiently, digitally, and without friction.
Today, Chikitshalaya powers 5,000+ clinics across India — from solo GPs in tier-2 cities to multi-doctor specialty clinics in metros. Every clinic gets a professional website, online appointment booking, patient management, and analytics — all in one platform, starting at ₹499/month.
